What's in this range
Corneal transplant scissors (Katzin, Rich, Terry Micro Corneal), Iris scissors, stitch and suture-removal scissors, and Vannas capsulotomy scissors for cataract surgery, across a wide range of blade lengths, curves and tip patterns.
About the patterns
Katzin, Rich and Terry corneal transplant scissors cut corneal tissue during keratoplasty, each supplied as a left/right pair for opposite-handed cutting. Iris scissors are fine, pointed-tip scissors for delicate anterior segment work. Vannas capsulotomy scissors are small and fine-tipped, used to cut the lens capsule or fine membranes. Stevens tenotomy and Westcott scissors are used for conjunctival and muscle surgery.
Used with
Corneal scissors are used alongside corneal knives and dissectors and corneal trephines in graft surgery; capsulorhexis-related scissors are used with capsulorhexis forceps in cataract surgery.

What is a Vannas scissors used for?
A small, fine-tipped scissors used to cut the lens capsule (capsulotomy) or fine membranes during cataract and anterior segment surgery.
Left and right versions - which do I need?
Some corneal scissors come as a left/right pair for opposite-handed cutting - check which the surgeon or procedure requires, or contact us to confirm.
