About our Electrosurgical Units & Accessories range
What's in this range
Electrosurgical Cables to connect forceps and instruments to the generator, Electrosurgical Pencils, Handles & Accessories, Monopolar Electrodes in 1.6, 2.4 and 4.0 mm shaft sizes, Bipolar Electrodes & Probes, Patient Return Plates and Laparoscopic, Arthroscopic & Endoscopic Electrodes. Most items are available in reusable and single-use versions.
Choosing a cable
Every cable has two ends to match: the instrument end (for example US 2-pin, European flat or Aesculap-type for bipolar forceps) and the generator end (for example 4 mm banana plugs, Erbe-type, Martin-type, 29 mm pin or Ellman-type). Each cable page lists which generators it is compatible with. If you're unsure, send us the generator model and we will confirm the right cable.
Electrode shaft sizes
Monopolar electrodes are sized by the shaft that fits the pencil or handle: 2.4 mm is the common standard for most pencils, 4.0 mm fits European-style handles, and 1.6 mm fits fine-shaft handles. Match the electrode shaft to your pencil or handle.
Instruments
Bipolar and monopolar forceps, diathermy scissors and insulated gynaecology specula are in Electrosurgical Instruments.
Do you sell electrosurgical generators?
This section currently covers the accessories that connect to a generator: cables, pencils, electrodes and return plates. Contact us if you need help with a generator.
How do I know which cable fits my generator?
Check the generator's bipolar or monopolar socket type and your instrument's connector, then choose the cable that matches both ends. Each cable page lists compatible generator brands. Send us the generator model and we will confirm.
Are single-use versions available?
Yes. Most cables, pencils, electrodes and return plates come in single-use versions as well as reusable ones. Each product page lists both where they exist.
