VivereX+ is a single-use, canister-free NPWT device offering up to 21 days of continuous therapy before it needs replacing - longer than the 10-day VivereX and longer than many canister-free devices on the market. What is negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT)?
NPWT applies controlled negative pressure to a wound to remove excess exudate, reduce swelling, and encourage the growth of granulation tissue, helping wounds heal faster than with standard dressings alone.
What's the difference between VivereX and VivereX+?
Both are single-use, canister-free NPWT devices. VivereX offers a 10-day treatment life, suited to shorter interventions, while VivereX+ extends this to up to 21 days - particularly for lower extremity and back wounds that need longer therapy without a device change.
Do I need a separate canister with these devices?
No. VivereX and VivereX+ are canister-free by design, which simplifies setup, reduces bulk, and makes disposal straightforward compared to traditional canister-based NPWT systems.
How do I choose between the 10-day and 21-day device?
VivereX (10 days) suits shorter-course wounds where you expect to reassess and likely change dressing type within that window. VivereX+ (up to 21 days) suits wounds needing a longer, uninterrupted course - particularly lower extremity and back wounds - reducing the number of device changes over the treatment period. How do I choose the right dressing size?
