(NPWT) range to NHS trusts, private hospitals and clinics across the UK.
Sunmedic AB, based in Vellinge, Sweden, designs and manufactures the range,
which includes the VivereX and VivereX+ canister-free NPWT systems, VivereX
Dressings, VivaFoam wound filler, and the VivaCol skin barrier.
VivereX and VivereX+ are single-use, canisterless devices offering 10-day and
21-day treatment durations respectively, supporting the formation of
granulation tissue across a wide range of wound types from acute and
chronic wounds to skin grafts, pressure and diabetic ulcers, dehisced
surgical wounds, and burns.

What is negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT)?
NPWT applies controlled negative pressure to a wound to remove excess exudate, reduce swelling, and encourage the growth of granulation tissue, helping wounds heal faster than with standard dressings alone.
What's the difference between VivereX and VivereX+?
Both are single-use, canister-free NPWT devices from Sunmedic. VivereX offers a 10-day treatment life, suited to shorter interventions, while VivereX+ extends this to 21 days for wounds particularly lower extremity and back wounds that need longer therapy without a device change.
Do I need a separate canister with these devices?
No. VivereX and VivereX+ are canister-free by design, which simplifies setup, reduces bulk, and makes disposal straightforward compared to traditional canister-based NPWT systems.
How do I choose the right dressing size?
Measure the wound first. As a general guide, choose a dressing roughly 3 times the wound size for low-exudate wounds, or 4 times the wound size for medium-exudate wounds. Contact our team if you'd like help confirming the right size for a specific case.
