About our Manipulators & Hooks range
What's in this range
Nucleus manipulators and hooks - Kuglen iris hook and lens manipulator, Drysdale and Grayson nucleus manipulators, and a Crawford retrieving hook, used during cataract surgery to reposition and manipulate the lens nucleus and iris.
About the patterns
The Kuglen hook is dual-purpose - one end hooks and manipulates the iris, the other end manipulates the lens nucleus. Drysdale and Grayson nucleus manipulators have different tip shapes (rounded, flattened or with a defined interior edge) for rotating and positioning the lens nucleus during phacoemulsification. The Crawford retrieving hook is used to retrieve and reposition surgical materials such as silicone tubing.
Used with
Nucleus manipulators are used alongside bimanual irrigation/aspiration handpieces and hydrodissection cannulas during phacoemulsification.
