What's in this range
Lacrimal cannulas (Langs, Harrison Butler), irrigation cannulas (Binkhorst), and cataract-surgery cannulas for hydrodissection, air injection and anterior chamber use, across a wide range of gauges and tip patterns.
About the patterns
Langs and Harrison Butler lacrimal cannulas irrigate and flush the lacrimal duct system. Binkhorst irrigation cannulas have a smooth, blunt tip for atraumatic irrigation inside the eye, available in left, right and straight patterns. McIntyre anterior chamber cannulas maintain and irrigate the anterior chamber during surgery. Hydrodissection cannulas inject fluid beneath the lens capsule to separate the lens nucleus before removal, and air-injection cannulas (Rycroft) introduce an air bubble to maintain chamber depth or check wound integrity.
Used with
Cannulas are used alongside bimanual irrigation/aspiration handpieces during phacoemulsification, and lacrimal cannulas follow on from lacrimal probing.

What is a hydrodissection cannula used for?
It injects fluid beneath the lens capsule during cataract surgery, to separate the lens nucleus from its capsule before removal.
What is an air-injection cannula used for?
It introduces an air bubble into the eye to maintain chamber depth or check that a surgical wound is watertight.
