Comen G Series AED
Comen automated external defibrillators in four models (G3, G3A, G5, G5A), semi-automatic and fully automatic, with pre-connected adult and paediatric pads, up to 360 J and IP55 protection.
The Comen G Series is a range of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in four models: G3, G3A, G5 and G5A. Semi-automatic and fully automatic versions are available. Opening the lid switches the device on, and voice prompts guide the rescuer through each step, from placing the pads to delivering the shock.
Key features
- Ready in under 2 seconds after the lid is opened. Rhythm analysis and charging to 200 J happen together within 5 seconds, and the AED is ready to shock in no more than 7 seconds.
- Adult and paediatric pads are pre-connected. A one-touch adult and child switch adjusts the energy and the compression-to-ventilation ratio.
- Biphasic truncated exponential (BTE) waveform with automatic compensation for patient impedance, across a range of 20 to 300 Ω, and energy of up to 360 J.
- CPR guidance with a real-time metronome and voice prompts, plus animation prompts on models with an LCD screen.
- Language switching at the touch of a button, and automatic volume adjustment for noisy places.
- Protected against dust and water (IP55), able to withstand a 1.5 m drop, and meets the EN 1789 ambulance transport standard.

Questions about the G Series
Can the G Series be used on children?
Yes. Adult and paediatric pads are pre-connected, and a one-touch adult and child switch adjusts the energy and the compression-to-ventilation ratio.
What is the difference between semi-automatic and fully automatic?
With a semi-automatic AED the rescuer presses the shock button. A fully automatic AED delivers the shock itself after a warning. Both analyse the heart rhythm automatically. Contact us and we will advise which version suits your setting.
Does the G Series need training?
No formal training is needed, because it gives voice prompts at every step, but CPR and AED awareness training is recommended.
Frequently asked questions
Can the Comen G Series be used on children?
Yes. The G Series has adult and paediatric pads pre-connected and a one-touch adult and child switch that adjusts the energy.
How quickly is the G Series ready to use?
It is ready in under 2 seconds after the lid is opened, and gives voice prompts and a CPR metronome to guide the rescuer.
Is the G Series suitable for busy or outdoor places?
It is protected against dust and water (IP55) and can withstand a 1.5 m drop. The G3 and G3A have an operating temperature range of -5 to 50 degrees C. A device kept outside still needs protection from the weather and from theft.
How long do the pads and battery last?
On the G3 and G3A the pads have a validity period of 42 months and the battery has a standby life of more than 6 years under the manufacturer's stated conditions. Check the expiry dates regularly and order replacements in good time.
Do I need training to use a G Series AED?
No formal training is needed, because the AED talks the rescuer through each step, but training is recommended.
